Tea Tree Oil

 Melaleuca alternifolia

When Captain Cook landed in Australia in 1770 he found the locals brewing leaves in a tea for medicinal purposes and he assumed it was tea. He named the plant the tea tree. He soon learned that the Aborigines had many uses for tea tree leaves from soothing headaches and cleaning minor cuts to a host of topical skin ailments and foot fungus'. The Aborigines have been using the tea tree plant for medicinal purposes prior to the 1700's. Three centuries of use is one heck of a field test! Tea Tree Therapy continues that legacy today with over 28 products to keep you healthy from head to toe.
